Hello and welcome to Tech Arts Enterprises. I am Brian Morris, the instructor for this class. I have been teaching at Washington Middle School for 32 years. I am an Industrial Arts certified teacher who over the years has been integrating more and more technology into my curriculum for students to be able to design and build projects and products using the latest tech available. I am now a certified Career and Technical Education instructor and all Tech Arts and Marketing classes are CTE certified. The program has grown and developed over the years and now daily uses all the woodshop equipment you would normally have in and Industrial Arts class but also uses a 3D printer, laser engraver, CNC router and UV printer. Students also use various software to design their projects/products to be built. These include SketchUp 3D modeling software, Layout for orthographic plans, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for laser engraving, UV printing and CNC routering and Aspire 2D/3D modeling software for the CNC router.
Visitors are welcome anytime in the classes and many people drop by to make custom orders from the marketing students.
The Tech Arts Enterprises marketing class has been featured on the Saxton Bradley webpage to show how students are integrating their laser equipment into the curriculum. See more
