interface version 1
Deforms input geometry using a NURBS surface.
An alternative to the Creep SOP, with a slightly different behaviour and parameter set.
Deforming a bunch of spikes from the XZ plane onto the surface section of a NURBS torus. (The guide shows the original geometry, as well as the spatial volume that is mapped from XYZ to UVW space.)
Parameters
Envelope, Weight, etc. | Standard-issue qLib deformer framework weighting parameters. |
Input Bounds Min, Max | Corners of the 3D spatial box that will be mapped to the UVW space of the NURBS surface. The XZ plane is mapped onto the UV coordinates; Y coordinates are mapped as distance from the surface (height). |
Placement Offset, Scale, Pivot | Additional UVW-space placement parameters. |
Wrap X/Z | These can “wrap around” the deformed geometry if the surface is closed in the U or V direction. |
Moebius Z | A “Moebius-strip” effect is supported along the V direction of the NURBS surface. (The target surface has to be closed in the V or direction – see “Wrap Z”). |
Inherit UV Attrib | If enabled, a per-point attribute will be generated for each point, containing its UVW coordinate. |
