Houdini 13.0 Nodes

interface version 1

Applies spatial boundaries to particles using the bounds of a geometric object.

This is a convenience wrapper for Limit and Soft Limit POPs. Instead of numeric bounds, it uses the bounding box (or sphere) of a specified geometric object.

Parameters

Activation

Turns this node on and off. The node is only active if this value is greater than 0. This is useful to control the effect of this node with an expression.

Note that this is activation of the node as a whole. You can’t use this parameter to deactivate the node for certain particles.

Source Group

Only affect a group of points out of all the points in the input.

Bounding Object
Bounding Object

Path to the geometry whose bounds are to be used.

Group

An optional primitive group of the bounding object. If specified, only the bounds of this group will be used.

Type

Specify...

  • ... if the geometry should be used from world space or it’s local (object) space;

  • ... the shape of the boundary (box or sphere);

  • ... the type of the limit operation (regular or soft, see below).

Bounding Box

Parameters of Bound SOP (Box tab).

Bounding Sphere

Parameters of Bound SOP (Sphere tab).

Regular Limit

Parameters of the regular limit mode – see the Limit POP documentation for details.

Soft Limit

Parameters of the soft limit mode – see the Soft Limit POP documentation for details.

Release Notes
