Interlude: The Show Must Go On!

South of the Delta base, August 15th, ERA + 1
The discovery of patterns in shipment landings may have a profound effect. John now has to test this hypothesis and if they are right, capture as many crates on Russian territory as possible.
And so it continues.
Mission 7. Payback Time.
Delta Base; September 29th, ERA + 1
The supplies and reinforcements the Americans need will never arrive. In their place ruthless terrorists appear, their origins and motives unknown. Will there ever be any good news?
- (tiredly) Hey, who the hell… (Harrison gets out of vehicle) Excuse me, sir.
- Get me Macmillan. Now.
- We've got a problem, Ron?
- Nothing here, but right now the Russians have.
- That’s got to be a first.
- We’ve had reports that terrorists have stormed their bases in the South, and the fighting isn’t over.
- Never thought they’d do us a favour.
- They have and we’re gonna take full advantage.
- What’s the plan?
- The Russians have taken casualties and they’re sending all the units they can spare to the battle. They’ve left M. N. Tukhachevsky’s base pretty well defenceless.
- Guess they didn’t expect trouble that deep in their territory.
- So they’ll get an unpleasant surprise, cos you’re going to wipe it out. You’re taking the best equipment and whoever you want from Gamma and Delta. This is one chance to hit those bastards hard.
- Don’t worry – I get the message. It’s payback time.
North of M. N. Tukhachevsky base; September 30, ERA+1
The time has come to strike at the heart of the Russian territory. If John can be swift and deadly, the Russians will never know what hit them.
That's just a teaser while I am figuring out how to better do this. Yes, I would like to pick up the LP since it seems to be abandoned. This game deserves a spotlight.
I will be playing on a Master Strategist difficulty level, even though it has been probably 8 years since I touched the game last. I have forgotten almost everything, from controls to tech trees. Still, it's an RTWP game against AI. How hard can it be?
I probably should move to jpeg for screenshots, since png, while having a better quality, exact a heavy toll on the bandswitch.
