At around 7:45ish, I got on this site to look if there were any new posts, and weird shit happened. All the topic sections were broken, and would redirect the user to external sites. I'll keep all links to sites in BOLD.
I wanted to see if anyone else had this issue, if not, I below will recount the extent of the hack, and then after that, show some interesting investigative work that may or may not be obvious, but interesting nonetheless.
So, when I first got in (didn't log in thank bless) to look at the posts, the thread page would attempt to load, but then in the middle of loading, redirect to a different site. There were TWO sites that it redirected to. The first 15 minutes I tried it, it directed to the Steam address of this user, named Simone; Riddle.py, with no context at all other that in the player's bio, that they associated themselves with a group named "audisquad". After the 15 minutes, it would redirect to this site, audisquad.ru/riddle. Don't worry, there's nothing malicious there, just a bunch of doot skulls spinning around, rap music in the backround, and a cryptic message that reads: "Smacked, by Riddle, enjoy this one." I think at this point we can make an educated guess of who our attacker was...
That's the end of how the site was affected, but after this, is some "investigative work" I did and found out some weird stuff.
First course of action, was to check out the parent site, http://audisquad.ru/. Similar to how the /riddle site was set up, with video in the background and rap, except the crucial difference is that this has a lot of information on the so called, audisquad.
On the site, if you are still afraid to visit this too, has a twitter to Satori's (who we can now assume is the ring leader of audisquad) twitter WHERE HE POSTED A VIDEO OF THE HACK OF WIREMOD.COM, a broken link to Satori's email: [email protected] to "cry to", and has a list of the members of Audisquad, with each name linking to their steam profiles, the list of which here. -Satori(STEAM_0:1:120338831) -Im Friendly(STEAM_0:1:73012010) -Ethos(STEAM_0:1:146870355) -KZ(STEAM_0:1:11000619) -Sleaze(STEAM_0:1:77777000) -Darku(STEAM_0:0:1741057) -Diety(STEAM_0:1:59601079) -D3X(STEAM_0:0:313171) -Black(STEAM_0:0:174473978) -Rusty(STEAM_0:0:1741704) -Sikes(STEAM_0:0:2316670) -Regan(STEAM_0:0:56486352) -Riddle(STEAM_0:1:55079621): Now we DEFINITELY know who we were "Smacked" by! We enjoyed! (tbh I actually kinda liked the trippy music, and you got me into using stayinsi.de. Ty bb) -Reseller(STEAM_0:0:157173928)
Now, some members listed here, actually point to even more sites, and the rabbit hole gets EVEN MORE DEEP, but it's too much to cover in this one post, so I'll keep on to notable stuff.
All of these people were in an audisquad steam group they created for themselves, and on it not only is audisquad.ru mentioned, but also a site called https://xan.sx/, again, similar to the other two sites, but THIS site has a shoutout list, one of the sites it shouts out to is THE AUDISQUAD SITE! It also mentions some other sites that pop up in some of the steam profiles, including https://money.team/ again similar to the past sites, with an EVEN LONGER LIST of names, too many to bother counting and listing.
So, I've given y'all the resources to dig deeper, but these are the important details I'd share. Maybe I'll update it below here some more interesting info about these guys. Comment if you guys even noticed this happen, or if I'm crazy.
EDIT: Decided to save the current source code of the linked websites, audisquad.ru, xan.sx, and money.team should they decide to remove it to cover their tracks if law enforcement gets involved. They are in the attachments below. Now, I'm not a web designer, but maybe smart people can use this to recreate the site should they ever be removed with the source code here while links still exist inside of them.
