• Values for p,w,h must be adjusted based on pre-production QoS test results and production monitoring. Relevant factors are:
  • Maximum number of concurrent users
  • Average think time
  • Requests per minute
  Tests must emulate production workloads. Overloaded devices must be identified and freed from load by adding new nodes.
  Initially p=w=h=2. (Minimum scheme with no single points of failure)
• Vertical scaling: v can be as much higher as possible, given the current node hardware specifications, and application servers JVM requirements
