lifheader is a program which shows the header information of a LIF file: file name, file type, file size, time and date of file creation and the implementation bytes.
The LIF disk directory format is documented in the HP-IL Interface Owners Manual for the HP-71 (Hewlett-Packard) with further details (particularly HP41 and HP75 file types) in the HP-41 Synthetic Quick Reference Guide (Jeremy Smith)
If zline.p41 is a lif file containing a HP41 program then
lifheader zline.p41
will show the header information of zline.p41
